Dress code & Rules

  1. Conditions of play
    Play will be four ball format at 10 minute intervals playing off the yellow tees. The time allocated for 9 holes in 2 hours. Please ensure that golfers are at the tee ten minutes before their actual tee time. Other formats will only be accepted with prior agreement from Lords Golf and Country Club.

    It is the responsibility of each group to keep up with the speed of play. If you cannot score, please pick up!! Proper golf shoes must be worn and it is the responsibility of the organiser to inform their guests of this.
  2. Course Etiquette
    It is responsibility of the organiser that their guests are aware of the standard etiquette of golf. Failure to comply with this will result in the individuals concerned being removed from the golf course.
  3. Dress Code
    Lords Golf and Country Club does not permit denim of any kind on the golf course, in the golfers bar or members changing rooms. Tailored shorts of traditional length are acceptable, with over the ankle socks.

    Shirts must be tucked in to trousers/ shorts at all times.
  4. Catering
    All food and beverage must me supplied at Lords Golf and Country Club.
    No alcoholic beverages may be taken onto the golf course.
  5. Mobile Phones
    Mobile phones are not permitted on the course at any time. However, we do realise that there are certain occasions where you must be contactable, if this is the case, you may keep your phone on silent in the clubhouse but if you need to make a call or answer a call, please go outside the building to do so.
  6. Smoking Policy
    No smoking allowed in the clubhouse.
  7. Buggies/ Trolleys
    Golf buggies are the responsibility of the organiser and he/ she will be liable for any damage incurred to the buggy or the course. Please ensure that buggies are kept away from the tees and greens during wet weather to keep off the fairways if possible.

    Buggies must not be driven by anyone under the age of 16. Excessive braking or reckless driving will result in the driver being removed from the course.
  8. Liability
    Lords Golf and Country Club accepts no liability or responsibility for:
    1. In respect of loss or damage to personal belongings. Persons wishing to leave belongings on the premises do not entirely at their own risk.
    2. For damage or injury to any visitor or their property.
    3. Cover for the public liability, property damage and loss while on the club's property or remises is the responsibility of visitors.
  9. Conduct and Damage to property
    In the event of a guest's behaviour being unacceptable to Lords Golf and Country Club, the management reserves the right to insist upon the offending individual(s) immediate departure. Furthermore, the client undertakes to pay all reasonable cost incurred in making good any breakages or damages at Lords Golf and Country Club resulting directly from the behaviour or conduct of the client or the client's guests.
  10. Changing Facilities
    There is no changing of clothes or shoes in the car park. Changing rooms are available. No golf shoes are allowed in the main golfers bar.
  11. Course notes
    1. Please replace divots and repair pitch marks on the green.
    2. Rake the bunkers when leaving them.
    3. Trolleys are not allowed on the tees.
